ABOUT OUR PTO

MISSION STATEMENT: Our mission as a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) at Rucker Elementary is to promote and encourage communication between parents, teachers, administration and the community. We seek to complement the current curriculum, teachers and administrators, and all other school organizations and programs by providing open lines of communication and transparent support. The PTO also sponsors, organizes, and/or supports school events, fundraising efforts, and enrichment programs that enhance and enrich our children's educational, social, and developmental experiences at Rucker.

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in learning more about the Judy Rucker Elementary PTO that serves the campus community. The purpose of the PTO is to support the faculty, staff and most importantly our students. Your new PTO Board has been busy exploring programs, events and opportunities aimed at enhancing the educational environment for all students. We also provide fun, family-friendly events throughout the year.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE CHILDREN!
The teachers, administrators and staff at Judy Rucker Elementary are united in their belief that all children:

  • Can succeed

PTO INITIATIVES
Throughout the year (yes even the summer), the PTO is fast at work planning events that bring our community together, fundraisers that help improve our school and provide supplies for our teachers and classrooms and fun for all our Rucker kids.

WHAT'S HAPPENING THIS YEAR?

Throughout the year, our PTO communicates event details, changes and information via our members only Facebook group, Rucker Elementary PTO 2023-2024 as well as via newsletters and our website. Make sure you visit your app store on your phone to download this free application so you can be in the know! Email RuckerPTO@gmail.com to get connected to your appropriate grade-level and/or committee Facebook group also.

WANT TO GET INVOLVED?

Join a Committee
Consider lending a hand to the PTO by joining a committee. Members are free to serve on as many committees as they wish.
 
Become a Room Parent
If field trips, class parties and special treats and events for teachers are where you'd like to volunteer, consider signing up to be a Room Parent.

PTO MEETINGS

The Judy Rucker Elementary PTO meets conducts general meetings monthly. General meetings are open to all Rucker Elementary parents, faculty and community members. We encourage everyone who attends to please join the PTO (only $10 a year for staff and min $20 for families.) In addition to the monthly general PTO meetings, the PTO Board also meets monthly to discuss and plan upcoming events for the school and the community throughout the year. Please contact us if you are interested in either joining the PTO and/or signing up for a committee or board position.

PTO FORMS

Are you a current PTO member looking for some key forms? We've got them! 
Please note on reimbursements, requests must be submitted to our Treasurer within two weeks of event date and allow at least 48 hours for a check to be ready for pick up for mailed to the address listed. 

PTO BYLAWS & STANDING RULES

Judy Rucker Elementary PTO is governed by Prosper ISD PTO Council Bylaws as well as our Rucker Elementary PTO Campus Standing Rules.
